Designer Robert Passal invited House Beautiful into his Miami Beach retreat, and we’re smitten with its high-wattage, modern, and comfortable décor. Full of vibrant blue tones, varied art, and updated, traditional furniture pieces, the vacation home is a cheery escape for the New York-based designer. A custom 16-foot sofa, a front door lacquered in car paint, and Louis-XVI-style side chairs upholstered in an African kaftan are just a few of the quirky, insider design ideas Passal tested in the home. We’re digging its updated take on Miami-beach style and the fact that that the home feel relaxed and carefree — as every Miami getaway should be.
