ERIN JANG | Graphic designer & illustrator in New York City and is one of my favorite designers. She runs an awesome blogs called the The Indigo Bunting where she features her designs she does for friends, magazines and card companies. She is crazy talented..

I stumbled upon these invites  she did a while back and i think they are tre chic! Black paper for wedding invite could not look more sharp! Check these out and tell me what you think of the design, would you consider it for your own wedding?

Here is what she had to say about the project:

The couple invited an intimate group of friends and family to Paris for a weekend of merriment. The two of them love good food and wine, and it was important to them that the invitation reflect all the culinary adventures they had planned — a cozy dinner at the famous Le Chateaubriand, a picnic of wine and cheese near the Eiffel Tower, an oyster brunch and a bike ride to the city’s best ice cream shop. Such lucky guests!

It wasn’t easy fitting all the necessary details (as well as the RSVP and food illustrations) on a single card, but a double-sided accordion fold invitation did the trick. Mama’s Sauce did a brilliant job, as always, on this precise 3-color (white, gold, bright blue) screen print on black paper.

Custom totes and welcome letters I designed for this Paris wedding.

The couple wanted to do a cheeky play on those awful tourist t-shirts on the front of the bag — “I went all the way to Paris, and all I got was this tote bag” (an inside joke among their friends) — and on the back, an illustrated guide to some favorite French food items.

And a welcome letter for the wedding guests with helpful tourist information, like a metro guide, important phone numbers, useful French phrases for the wedding weekend and a map of the couple’s favorite places in Paris.
